Centrally located to many awesome spots in Maine - Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park (and the new national monument), DownEast, Bangor, Bucksport, and Belfast. Mid-Coast Maine - Camden and Rockland, are also a close drive away. You are in a town with sidewalks and a plenty of park space to explore. There is also Fort Knox and the tallest observatory in a bridge, located in the Penobscot Narrows Bridge at Fort Knox. Bucksport and Belfast have lovely walks along their river fronts.
